We’ve met the contestants, but who are the real estate agents who have been chosen to sell The Block 2025 properties?

We spoke to the lucky bunch to see how the opportunity came about and what the experience has been like so far.

Who are the agents selling The Block houses?

Aaron Hill, director and auctioneer at Ray White Sunbury.

No stranger to the show, 2025 will be Aaron Hill’s fourth season selling The Block – and he’s clocked up some big wins in the past. Hill sold the winning property in 2022 and 2023, plus he’s sold numerous other properties across the seasons.

“It’s been a bit of fun over the years, and [over that time] a lot of things have changed,” Hill says.

In 2022, he introduced entrepreneur and prolific The Block buyer Adrian Portelli, who has been asked to abstain this year.

“We’re going to find a few more special buyers,” Hill adds.

He says House 1 contestants Emma and Ben are “beautiful people” who remind him of Steph and Gian from the 2023 Hampton season. Despite his many years on the show, they’re the first Victorian couple he’s worked with.

When it comes to marketing the property, Hill says he’s going to do things “a little bit differently this year” which includes running TV ads.

“We’re going to do a few little different things compared to the last couple of years so we can find those special buyers in the marketplace, and hopefully, we can find a couple of them so we can help the other homes as well,” he says.

“I’m going to go for buyers no one knows, and I’m going to go for buyers who have got $1 billion like Adrian. I’m not doing this to sell it – I’m doing this to win it for my contestants.”

If Natalie Fagan and Ashlee McKee look familiar, that’s because they were the agents for Tom and Sarah-Jane in the 2022 season of The Block.

The only female selling duo in Daylesford, Fagan and McKee were also responsible for selling the five land lots that The Block is currently building on. But now, their task is to sell the property for House 2 contestants Han and Can.

“We were approached by all five teams, which is really flattering, but that’s also due to the contestants doing their due diligence,” McKee says.

Fagan says Han and Can “were really on the ball and super friendly”.

“They were really lovely to us, and they’ve sent us so many gorgeous messages,” she says.

“We’ve been through all five houses and all of them are pretty stunning – every house offers something different, which is what you want for the buyers.”

McKee says the girls “thrived on getting feedback” as they planned their rooms and designs, because they wanted to know who the Daylesford buyer was.

“They wanted to know what people look for in their houses, and because we sell more new builds in this region than any other agency, it gave us really good insight to let them know what people are looking for,” McKee says.

When it comes to marketing the house, she says that as Belle is a national agency, they have the opportunity to reach buyers through many different channels.

“At the end of the day, it’s about the house,” Fagan adds. “There’s a house there for every buyer, and Daylesford wins when all five houses sell.”

Mark Nunn, director of Buxton Ballarat.

While Buxton has been involved in The Block over the years, it’s the first time for Buxton Ballarat director Mark Nunn.

“I’m 22 years into my real estate career and I never thought we’d get The Block in our backyard in regional Victoria,” he says. “We’re super excited.

“Britt and Taz are a terrific couple, and we get along like a house on fire. They have a really good vision for the house, and the conversations we’ve had to date have been really good.”

Nunn says he’s enjoyed working closely with the contestants to help them understand who the target market is.

“Ultimately, they’re trying to produce a home that’s going to appeal to the Daylesford market, and I think they’re right on track,” he says. “The more we can build the interest levels, the better their auction will be, and I’m really looking forward to that. I’m sure the lucky buyer will be out there.”

Nunn says the whole Buxton group is behind the marketing campaign which will be implemented throughout the airing of the show.

“We’re definitely approaching it differently; it’s not every day you get a listing that’s on national television,” he says. “We’re going to give them as much exposure as we can and just get a lot of resources behind it to give it our best shot.

“Obviously I would love Britt and Taz to win, but you want all five houses to sell. Having met all the contestants, they’re all good people and you want them all to sell and make money out of it.”

Tom Shaw, director of Biggin Scott Daylesford.

It’s the first time born-and-bred Daylesford local Tom Shaw is selling The Block, and he says it’s “very exciting”.

“I was in the office and Alicia just came in one day looking for an agent,” he recalls. “She walked in the front door of my shop, sort of interviewed me on the spot and that’s how I got the gig,” he laughs.

Shaw says contestants Sonny and Alicia have been a pleasure to work with and they’re “very down to earth, honest and upfront”.

“They’re really lovely and they’re really driven to succeed for their kids,” he says.

Shaw says the show has brought a “real buzz” to Daylesford, and he’s ready to take House 4 to market.

“It’s pretty prestigious to be representing one of [the homes], because they’re just beautiful properties and it’s just a really high calibre,” he says.

“We’ve got all systems ready to go, and we’re just so excited. We’ve got some tricks up our sleeve, but Sonny and Alicia’s house is so unique, and I think it’s going to be a big drawcard for people.

“My team is amazing, and for us, it’s such a wonderful thing for the area. I’ve had so many messages and calls from people saying they want to make the move to Daylesford, which is so nice.”

Kim McQueen, director of McQueen Real Estate.

It’s Kim McQueen’s second time selling The Block (she was an agent on the 2022 Gisborne season alongside Marty Fox) and she’s ready to take Robby and Mat’s house to market.

“We specialise in selling prestige properties across the region, so we’re a natural fit to be a Block agent,” she says. “Mat and Robby are the most fantastic guys. When they rang us to be their agent, we instantly knew that they were such a great fit.”

McQueen says when it comes to finding a buyer, she won’t be tackling things differently from any of the other beautiful properties that she sells.

“I guess the difference with The Block houses is what they come with,” she says. “It’s about trying to make people or buyers understand that they’re walking into complete, ready-made lifestyles.

“And this year, given every house has an identical floor plan, what’s going to be the deciding factor for a lot of people is the different things that all the houses have, along with the feel and internal vibes of each of the houses. But we’re ready for it!”

Much like the other agents, McQueen is thrilled that Daylesford is getting its time in the spotlight.

“It’s just an amazing opportunity for our region,” she says. “It’s a beautiful part of Victoria and hopefully it will be bringing a lot of buyers our way, which is wonderful.”
