An opportunity to enjoy a slower pace of life is on its way in Sydney’s upper north shore suburb of Wahroonga. The leafy area sits just 30 minutes from the CBD by car or train and offers all the convenience of the city while capturing the charm and tranquillity of a bushland retreat.

A new residential project gives buyers access to this tree change without compromise. The Residences at Wahroonga Estate sits within 52 hectares of pristine native Australian bushland, in one of the upper north shore’s most prestigious addresses.

Jim Hunter, managing director of Capital Corporation, the developer behind the project, describes Wahroonga as “synonymous with leafy streets, beautiful cafes, a great connection to community, lovely local people who love Wahroonga and great schools”.

With bushland protected by conservation status, The Residences at Wahroonga Estate promises exclusivity and enduring appeal. “You really do get the best of both worlds,” Hunter says.

“There’s this incredible natural outlook, yet you’re still surrounded by all the benefits of urban living. You’re walking distance from some of Sydney’s most prestigious schools, next door to the San Hospital and close to cafes and restaurants”. The Residences at Wahroonga Estate also provides direct access to Coups Creek and sections of Lane Cove National Park.

The location offers more than leafy outlooks, and residents will enjoy an active lifestyle. Ambitious hikers can explore tracks that lead into the national park. Dog-friendly trails weave through the greenery, and a dedicated dog-wash bay makes it easy to rinse off muddy companions.

The Residences at Wahroonga Estate is designed to foster community connection. A private residents’ lounge provides a space to work, entertain or relax, while a communal barbecue pavilion invites neighbours to socialise.

Construction set to begin this year

Leading construction firm DASCO is set to begin construction in late 2025. With over 30 years of experience and a portfolio of more than 8000 completed dwellings across NSW, the company brings a wealth of industry knowledge, proven capability and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality developments. Chief executive Michel Najjar agrees that the development is unique, saying, “It’s a leafy suburb, very peaceful. It combines serenity with connectivity”.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication says DASCO chief executive Michael Najjar. Photo: Artist's Impression.

He refers to future residents as rightsizers, explaining that, “They might be downsizing their home, but they’re not downsizing any aspect of their lifestyle. In fact, they’re uplifting their quality of life”.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors seamlessly connect interiors to the bushland beyond. Engineered timber flooring runs through the living, dining and kitchen areas, complemented by built-in wardrobes and premium Miele appliances.

For Najjar, the beauty of the build lies in its understated elegance. With expansive windows and glass features, each apartment is designed to maximise natural light and create a sense of openness. “Simplicity,” he says, “is the ultimate sophistication”.
