Welcome to the first batch of top picks for 2023.
When the page turned on the new year, I was playing a game of catch-up with friends, family and a whole lot more – including some sun and sleep — ahead of the new work year.
Despite it being a “break”, the property industry remained a constant for me. No matter where I was – Sydney, Canberra or the South Coast – my interest in the property market never wavered.
You know when you enjoy your holiday location so much that you wonder just how much it would cost to live there? The Allhomes app never strayed too far from my hand.
And so, as we usher in this week’s top pick of homes, we highlight some of the capital’s first auctions of the year. It’s good to be back in the chair. Happy reading!
New suburbs like Taylor are some of the best-planned in Canberra. Brand-new playing fields and playgrounds, walking trails in nature reserves and the iconic Casey Market Town are all just around the corner.
With such a palatable price guide under its belt, you might not believe the home that awaits at 8 Chenoweth Avenue, Taylor.
While the house itself is soon to be built, the newly finished display home will demonstrate how it’s going to tick all the boxes.
The property is ideal for a first home buyer but doesn’t ask you to sacrifice comfort or convenience simply so you can enter the market.
The floor plan is spacious with plenty of room to sprawl out and relax. Four bedrooms, including a main with an en suite and walk-in wardrobe, allow you to plan for the future – especially if it will involve the pitter-patter of little feet (or already does).
The contemporary finishes merge marble, timber, stone and luxe tiles to create spaces you’ll actually want to spend time in.
This is made better by the north-easterly aspect, which invites the sunshine in through endless floor-to-ceiling windows.
If you’re not a homebody, this may just change your daily lifestyle.
The land is prepped and ready for construction, so it’s anticipated the brand-new home will be ready for you to move into within the next six to eight months.
