An apartment resident is considering forcing a confrontation with their stealthy neighbour.

A household in the US is facing an unusual battle with one of their neighbours after unsolicited home deliveries turned up at their front door.

The amount of deliveries, according to details contained in a social media post, is said to be constant and includes all manner of items.

“One of our [neighbours] keeps delivering everything to our unit,” the exacerbated post to Reddit published yesterday reads.

“We don’t know which one it is but we’re the only unit on the basement level so nobody should even be coming down except for us.”

The amount of deliveries is said to be constant and include all manner of items.

The basement resident did not reveal any specifics about where they live or their neighbour.

Rather, they claim they receive door bell notifications “multiple times a week” and sometimes “multiple times a day” with DoorDash and groceries and packages being delivered.

“Eight-five per cent of the time none of us in our apartment are home to answer the door because we all work during the day, so we talk through the ring and every time the delivery person says it’s for our unit number and the instructions say to ring the doorbell— then they confirm our number,” the resident wrote.

“We tell them they don’t live here and 9/10 they leave it with us anyways. I thought at first it was just a really common mistake but now I’m almost 100 per cent sure they’re sending it to our unit first.”

The resident claims their neighbours bags are left in front of their door, for their neighbour to retrieve them.

“I think the [neighbour] comes down to retrieve it because they’re gone when we get home (we get the live feed notifications of motion) but since we’re not home we don’t know which unit they’re in,” the resident wrote.

“And they’re so damn FAST we haven’t been able to say anything to them on our camera.”

The resident is now at a point where they are considering, when they can, keeping the delivered items in a bid to force a confrontation with their neighbour.

Though, they aren’t entirely sure if that’s the right move. They asked other Reddit members for their thoughts.

“When the delivery drivers ring the bell, tell them you are refusing delivery. For any left in front of your door, take it to the office,” one person wrote in reply.

“It does make me wonder why they’re using your address though, that’s sketchy.”

“Tell the delivery guys its for him as a gift,” a second person joked.

“Someone doesn’t want their roommates/family to know about these orders so they have them delivered to your door instead,” a third person shared.

Home delivery headache.

This is not the first time someone has been exacerbated by the antics of a neighbour and their deliveries.

Last month, a woman in the UK revealed that one of her neighbours uses her address to order take-away deliveries without permission.

The unsolicited deliveries mean her doorbell rings at varying times of the day.

“I live on a new build estate and the road behind me doesn’t seem to have been added to delivery apps. I frequently get a neighbour order to my address and put in the delivery instructions their own address,” she wrote.

“Naturally, no one looks at this and I end up with my doorbell ringing late at night or morning with food for them.”

If that wasn’t enough, the neighbour allegedly leaves the packages at her door, meaning she ends up taking them over.
