Former Wallabies stars Stirling Mortlock and Bill Young are lining up to score a real estate goal in their real estate this weekend.

This Saturday sees the Pymble home of former captain Stirling Mortlock and his wife Caroline hit the market as the couple eye off a tree change to the Southern Highlands.

Mortlock bought the 1200-square-metre property on a corner block with a tennis court and a pool a decade ago for $2.4 million in 2008, when he was ranked third on the all-time list of Australian Test points scorers.

Having captained the Wallabies in 29 of his 80 Tests, he turned to money management in 2014, first at NAB and then at boutique asset manager Peak Advisors, and more recently as a partner at Unio Advisors.

Expect to pay more than $4 million at the June 30 auction through Tim Fraser, of Di Jones.

And Saturday is set to see Northwood waterfront home of Bill Young go under the hammer for about $6.5 million through Simon Harrison, of Belle Property Lane Cove.

Best known as a prop in the 1990s and 2000s, Young has undertaken a major renovation of the three-level house with a swimming pool and boating facilities on Woodford Bay since he bought it in 2014 for $3.3 million.

The third-generation hotelier expanded the family’s pub interests just 18 months ago, paying $28.8 million for the Five Dock Hotel.
