This two-bedroom apartment in Manhattan’s financial district condo is a relative steal at just under $2.3 million – especially considering everything that’s included in the price.

The apartment sale includes all the furnishings – meaning one-off pieces from designers like Poltrona Frau, Philippe Starck, and Mooi. There are even more perks, like customised built-ins and a custom in-home audio and video system.

That’s all part of the package in the Downtown by Starck development.

Downtown by Starck is named after Philippe Starck, the “starchitect” who oversaw the conversion of a 1914 building that was the headquarters of J.P. Morgan’s banking segment from offices to residential condos. There are more than 150 floor plans, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. Apartments are large and feature high ceilings, marble-clad bathrooms, and custom lighting systems designed by Starck.

Much of the furniture, like this built-in sofa, is one-of-a-kind. It’s all the work of Axis Mundi Design. Gallery-style lighting has been installed throughout the apartment, to display artworks to their best advantage.

This condo is owned by Rishi Bali, co-founder of the yoga apparel and lifestyle company YogaSmoga, who bought the pad in 2006 for just over $1.1 million.

Along with a full complement of furniture and lighting that reads like a who’s-who of contemporary design, the buyer also gains access to the building’s amenities, including a full-time doorman, health club and pool, party room and a spectacular rooftop terrace that overlooks the nearby New York Stock Exchange.

A narrow kitchen is positioned against one wall of the hallway, which connects each room of the apartment. Despite its small size, the kitchen has premium appliances, custom Hansgrohe faucets by Starck and Starck-designed lighting.

At one end of the apartment, this room can be used as a den, office or the second bedroom. There’s more unique furniture and artwork, plus a full-wall shelving unit.
