Mainland to Island Transport is provided by Sealink Barges, departing from both Redland Bay and Cleveland on regular pre-booked slots.
"Macs Bays" has a 23-ton/14 pallet Mercedes Curtain sider Truck
Note that All regular pickups are from Brisbane Southside commercial areas within an hour's travel from Redland Bay.
There is a "Macs Bay" owned Forklift based on Russell Island to assist with any loading/unloading and occasional hire for builders on the island to assist with any ad-hoc logistics.
This forklift is currently registered and permitted to drive on the island's main road and streets (by a ticketed Forklift operator). This will come with the business unregistered.

ADMIN
Macs Bay Transport has a permanent booking on account with SeaLink.
These are on a 30-day payment cycle.
All pickups are within 100km from the base (at Redland Bay), so no driver logbook is required. All regular pickups are advised directly and in advance from the distributor, so any changes/additional pickups can be adjusted into the programming.
Invoicing:
Invoicing is fortnightly with contracted terms for supermarkets and loyal and friendly terms for the alcohol retailers. Other commercial loads are payment on delivery and all relationships are longstanding and loyal with excellent communications.

Advertising and Marketing:
Macs Bay Transport does minimal advertising. The reason for this is that advertising in local magazines created too much work for a small operator to handle, and the owner did not want to risk the service level with loyal regular customers.
There is of course scope to increase the business and take more of the market share by adding another truck and focusing on the smaller individual deliveries. This would need someone to focus on administration and bookings (on a semi-permanent basis).

50k WIWO all plants included. The truck will come with current Rego and COI.
All customers are introduced and a 2-week handover period with the owner or experienced Driver.
