One of the homes in which Angelina Jolie grew up in is on the market for $US2,049,000 ($2,890,000).

Now one of Hollywood’s highest paid female actors, Jolie lived in Snedens Landing with her parents in the 1980s.

Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, owned the house in the 1980s, selling agent Richard Ellis of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty told the Wall Street Journal. It was also home to her father, Academy Award winner Jon Voight.

It has also housed Saturday Night Live’s Joe Piscopo.

Described as “The Whitney” house by the official listing, the home has been sympathetically renovated to be in keeping with the circa-1959 construction date.

The improvements included restoring the period railings in the second floor loft, new baths and new mechanicals. The home features hardwood flooring throughout, as well as fireplaces and rustic features.

The four-bedroom home has three bathrooms and a security system, and is described as having space for a pool, tennis court or garage. It was last bought unrenovated for $1.2 million.

In May, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie listed their New Orleans home for  $US6.5 million and have since been seen house hunting in Britain.
