Swedish DJ Avicii, officially known as Tim Bergling, has bought a $US15.55 million ($17.11 million) designer home in the Hollywood Hills.

The 24-year-old star of the electronic dance music scene, who has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, has certainly made good on the reported $US200,000 he makes in a night.

The architect-designed residence on the exclusive Blue Jay Way has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a pool, although Avicii and his model girlfriend Racquel Bettencourt are said to be renovating it.

The contemporary ”glass house” set above Sunset Strip was bought by the former Ralph Lauren model from Bruno Mascolo, head of Toni and Guy hairdressing business, according to The Pinnacle List magazine.
