Woden Valley’s future vision is a great one.

The redevelopment of the Woden Town Centre has seen an upsurge of development in the area. Add in stage two of Canberra’s Light Rail, and you have an exciting new hub of amenity that will arguably rival the likes of Kingston and Manuka.

What it lacks in history and maturity, it makes up for in entertainment, excitement and convenience.

Take WOVA, for example, Geocon’s vibrant new urban village. A one-of-a-kind mixed-use residential and commercial community in the Woden Valley, featuring an array of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, across four separate buildings, alongside an abundance of amenity.

In just this development alone, residents will enjoy a gymnasium, lap pool and sauna, private cinema, chef’s kitchen and dining area, rooftop garden with barbecues and seating, co-working spaces, and direct access to a ground floor plaza with retailers like boutique shops, cafes and convenience stores.

Not to mention its proximity to existing facilities like the Canberra Hospital, the Woden business district, schools and the Westfield Woden shopping centre.

“WOVA will become the lifestyle destination for the area,” says Moonmoon Sahu, head of project marketing at Geocon.

“When designing, we were very conscious of trying to create a meaningful sense of place.

“With Woden Valley long overlooked, yet now seemingly on the cusp of a major urban transformation, we sought to create a destination that could act as a beacon for the local community. A place to meet, a place to gather. Somewhere to live, work and play. A people-first precinct that could foster genuine interaction.

“To achieve this, it was important for us to strike the right balance between urban and suburban environments, as well as public and private space, so that residents and the wider community would feel welcome on the site.”

This led to the design of WOVA’s integrated ground-floor precinct, which seamlessly connects its four buildings and the surrounding streetscape through beautifully landscaped avenues and an array of retail, dining and commercial space.

The inclusion of two grassy urban green areas provides the perfect setting to catch up with friends, bask in the sun or enjoy a family picnic.

The apartments themselves are thoughtfully designed from the inside out. Sophisticated and made for contemporary living, they blend quality finishes and high-end inclusions to create exceptionally comfortable spaces.

“Buyers can harbour some of the best views of the Woden Valley,” says Geocon’s head of sales, Adam Morgan.

“The homes are ultra-modern in design and feature an abundance of glass and natural light. Features include SMEG appliances, stone benchtops, dryers to every laundry, reverse cycle airconditioning and spacious balconies.”

Construction will commence in 2021 and be delivered in two stages, with completion expected in late 2023 and early 2024.
