International businessman Stewart Routledge and his wife Helen are letting go of their Hamilton manor of 20 years as they look to downsize.
Selling agent Guy Horsley of Ray White Ascot said the views are the property’s main attraction.
“It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it’s secure and quiet, and the views are just unbelievable.”
The double-brick property with low-maintenance outdoor spaces is also perfect for those who want to be able to lock it and leave, Mr Horsley said.
This was potentially a drawcard for the Routledges, as Mr Routledge, former director of international development company Palladium International, has been based out of Dubai for the past 20 years.
Records show the couple bought the 1930s residence in 1996 for $1,025,000, but there’s no price guide for this campaign as the home is set to go to auction on August 27.
Recent sales in the area include a five-bedroom luxury residence on Windermere Road which sold for $3 million on April 9, a five-bedroom property on Crescent Road which sold for $4 million in February, and a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home on Toorak Road which sold for $5,050,000 in November.
