A Kiwi businessman is looking to offload his grand Paradise Waters residence, with hopes of $5.5 million.

New Zealand couple Wayne and Elaine Collie have listed their waterfront home of more than 12 years as they look to move into something smaller.

Records show the Collies paid $4.65 million for the home in 2004, and it is now on the market with a price guide of $5.1 million to $5.5 million.

Selling agent Christopher Jones of Savills said the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 77 Commodore Drive was split into essentially two wings with bedrooms on both sides, which would be perfect for a family with teenagers.

“There’s a lot of privacy in both wings,” he said.

Built around a central atrium with a glass roof, the north-facing home is flooded with light on all three levels.

Floor-to-ceiling glass in the lounge allows for views of Main Beach and Southport, which are particularly stunning at night.

Built on an 870 square metre block with 24 metres of water frontage, the home also comes with a large private study, and three of the bedrooms come with their own balconies.

An expansive riverfront courtyard gives access to an infinity edge pool and private jetty, and the home is close to shops and restaurants in Main Beach.
