When Roger and Ann Smith moved back to Canberra after 12 years in Geneva, Switzerland, NewActon was an obvious choice for the couple.
“We wanted to live somewhere convenient and not too far from various places,” Roger Smith said.
“We like going to concerts and restaurants.”
The Smiths bought their home in the ApARTments off the plan and moved in when it first opened three and a half years ago.
“I really love living here, the apartment block we live in is beautiful,” he said.
“We live in a three-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor facing the lake and overlooking the rooftop garden.”
The couple lived in Canberra for several years before moving to Switzerland. Roger Smith said Canberra was the only city they wanted to live in, and they have children and grandchildren here.
“We love living in the precinct too, since all the construction work has finished it’s improved dramatically. The gardens have been groomed and it’s such a pleasant place to live,” he said.
“There’s plenty of places to walk, sit or read a book and it’s only five minutes to Llewellyn Hall and 10 minutes to the city. What more could you ask for?”
