What $500,000 can buy you in Canberra right now

As Canberra’s median house price continues to rise, buyers in the nation’s capital may be finding that options under $500,000 are harder to come by. 

The unit market offers an affordable alternative with a median price of $415,195, but if units aren’t for you there are detached dwellings in the housing market.

To add to the appeal, there are eight suburbs within the ACT that have a median house price under $500,000.
