Peter is one of the principals of Peter Blackshaw Real Estate Belconnen. After 20+ years in the industry Peter’s solid reputation for consistently excellent work means that over 90% of his business is on a repeat or referral basis.
He prides himself on making a difference in his chosen industry. There are good reasons for this.
Firstly, Peter loves what he does for a living. He has excellent communication skills and his professional, genuine style has resulted in Peter forming an extraordinarily wide range of connections. He loves the property market, but not just because it's about houses and investment. Rather, it's because it involves people and gives him the chance to exceed their expectations.
Secondly, Peter loves the competitive nature of real estate and getting the best results possible for everyone concerned. That helps explain his fantastic achievements in auctioneering; he’s not only the REIACT 2011 Auctioneer of the Year but also the 2011 People’s Choice Auctioneer of the Year – in fact he’s the inaugural winner of this prestigious Award that’s run by the Canberra Times. Winning the adulation of his industry peers and the community simultaneously is a true gauge of Peter’s widespread popularity. He was also the winner of the REIACT Auctioneer of the Year in 2007, and the runner-up in 2006.
Finally, Peter’s experience and product knowledge is second to none. Not only does he have a depth of experience and organisational skills that only many years in real estate in Canberra can give, but also he is able to personalise his approach to cater for a broad range clients and their properties.
Peter lives in Hawker with his wife and four sons. His favourite pastimes are spending time with his family, keeping fit at the gym, reading and personal development. An avid supporter of both the Raiders and Carlton - Peter's real sporting love is cricket. He enjoys summer and all the cricket on offer.
